Message Polishzx: Long history but with all the plugs removed the engine seriously binds (requires excessive force to rotate) at certain spots. I now think what happened was when it was running, I revved the engine, and the timing belt slipped a tooth or two on the crank gear and then bent some valves (interference engine). I am trying to inspect the valves with a borescope through the spark plug holes, but the resolution of my borescope is pretty bad. May not be able to see the bent valve(s) (valve stem) anyway with a good borescope. I am going around with the leak down tester but that tool isn't the best either (cheap harbor freight (China) stuff) and it's very difficult to rotate the engine so each cylinder is at TDC. I would post some pics but I haven't had much luck with that in the past.
I am leaning towards pulling both heads with the engine in the car and getting them rebuilt. I have very little space to work in my garage now so cannot pull the engine which makes things difficult to work. Think I could use some recommendations for a head rebuilder in SoCal but that wont be for weeks at current work pace.
